Turtle Rock is a desirable and family friendly guard-gated community on Palmer Ranch.  The neighborhood is well known for it’s nature trails and community amenities which include, pool, tennis courts, basketball courts and beautiful nature trails.   Major shopping centers such as Sarasota Square mall, Publix  grocery, Target, Blockbuster and numerous restaurants are located very nearby.  Generous lots, (many with lake views) tile roofs and lush landscaping are hallmarks of this fine community.  There are are approximately 800 homes in Turtle Rock.  There are two enclaves of maintenance free homes called Savana and Sommerset.

Currently there are 39 homes for sale in Turtle Rock ranging from $299,000 to $699,000.  The average price is $456,333.  During this year 26 homes have sold at an average price of $417,404.  The highest price was a 5 bedroom home priced at $730,000 which sold for $688,000.  The lowest priced home was a 2 bedroom home priced at $299,000 that sold for $275,000.  One of the currently pending sales was a nice pool home with a fireplace located in the Savana section which was priced at $254,900.  It was a foreclosure property that was listed on November 26th and sold on December 4th.  Good deals like that are selling quickly.  If you are interested in that kind of deal let me know.  I will be happy to scout out the best opportunities for you.

  1. My sister lives in Turtle Rock. I have a son in college and a son in high school. Am thinking of moving to Sarasota when the younger son is off to college. So, eventually, am a buyer.

Meanwhile, I would like to rent a 3bdrm house in Turtle Rock from Dec. 21-30. Please contact me if you know of a house near Far Oaks for rent.
