New Homes “The Forest” at High Hat Ranch

February 6, 2007

Sorrento at the ForrestBack in November, I wrote a brief announcement about the new homes in The Forest at High Hat Ranch.  This past week I had the opportunity to view each of the models by local builders, John Cannon, Lee Wetherington and Arthur Rutenburg.  These new models in The Forest combine grandeur and luxury with country living in Sarasota.  the models average 6,000 square feet and incorporate all of the latest features found in new luxury homes.  I was particularly impressed with the Arthur Rutenburg home.  The 3.9 million dollar 6,743 square foot “Sorrento” model features 4 bedrooms, 5 baths, 2 half-baths, den, living-room, dining room, exercise room, leisure room, resort pool, covered patio, indoor cabana and a media room.  The combination of rustic materials with contemporary design is very appealing.  Quite often homes of modern design are rather cold but this home is very warm and inviting.  It is truly a home that one can feel very comfortable in.

The Forest consists of 270 acres of natural Florida countryside with only 54 exclusive home-sites ranging from 3 to 6 acres each.  The gated community will have strong architectural guidelines so that there is no duplication of home designs.  Each home will have a distinct elevation.  Lot prices range from $189,800 to $449,800.  Buyers will have one year from the purchase of their lot to begin construction of their home with any of the approved builders.   All homes will be a minimum of 4,000 square feet in size.  No horses or livestock will be allowed.  For more information about The Forest at High Hat Ranch or to arrange a tour of the models contact me at 941-650-4626.
