Florida 2nd in Wealth

Florida Trend Magazine reported that newly released Internal Revenue Service information indicates that Florida wis second only to California in the number of residents with a net worth of $1.5-million or more. Florida is home to 199,000 of these wealthy individuals while California is home to 428,000.  Surprisingly New York has only 168,000 such individuals and Texas has 108,000.  Other states in the ranking are Illinois with 101,000 and Pennsylvania with 86,000.  The data which dates back to 2004 is the latest available.  It is estimated that Nationally,2.7-million U.S. adults had net worth of at least $1.5-million in 2004.
