Midnight Pass Update

Causing yet another delay in opening Midnight Pass, the State of Florida has submitted a fourth round of inquiries into the long over due dredging project. While the delays mount so do the estimated cost which now exceeds $22 million. The estimated cost of restoring the pass was at $15 million. The timetable for the dredging is important as it must be scheduled around the sea turtle nesting season which runs from May to November.
